A metal ball-and-socket skeleton for your first real stop-motion puppet. Wire armatures bend and eventually snap. Ball-and-socket joints hold a pose frame after frame and can be tightened as they loosen, so your puppet lasts for years.

What's in the kit

• 6 mm steel ball joints with stainless steel joint plates and M3 tension screws
• M3 stainless threaded rod for the bones
• Small universal joints
• Aluminum wire for building hands, plus rubber finger covers
• Two Allen keys and spare parts

Good to know

• Some assembly required. The parts come loose so you can set the proportions yourself. You'll also want a small screwdriver, pliers, and super glue.
• Sizes: heights are the finished skeleton. Pick a little shorter than you want the finished puppet to be, because foam, clay, and clothing add height.
• The skeleton is steel, so it will need a tie-down or a rig to stand in big poses.
• Warning: small parts. Not for children under 14.
