This is the same setup hand-drawn animators have used since the studio days: paper on pegs, blue pencil for the roughs, and a field guide to keep your drawings inside the frame. Everything uses the Acme standard, so it fits any animation disc or lightbox with Acme pegs.

What's in the box

• Acme peg bar (10", plastic pegs that won't snap): tape it to your light pad and every sheet lands in exactly the same spot
• 100 sheets of Acme-punched animation paper (10.5" x 12.5", 12 field)
• 12 Col-Erase pencils in blue and red: the classic animator's roughing pencils
• 12-field Acme field guide, for planning camera framing and moves
• Hole reinforcers and a clean eraser

Studio secrets

• Rough in blue, clean up in graphite. Col-Erase blue lines are light enough to draw over, and they drop out when you scan in black and white, so your cleanup lines are all that's left.
• Flip, don't just look. Hold 3 to 5 sheets between your fingers on the pegs and roll them back and forth to test the motion before you draw the in-betweens. Animators call it rolling or flipping.
• Torn peg holes? Put a hole reinforcer on the back of the sheet. Don't retape the whole drawing.
• Pairs with our A4 LED light pad. Tape the peg bar across the top edge.
